It wasn’t a promising forecast for Saturday’s wedding in Llanfairynghornwy, and it did start out wet, but just as the Bride arrived at the church, the sun popped out, and stayed out long enough for us to capture a lot more photographs than we had anticipated. Someone was looking after this couple! After a beautiful ceremony and the lovely addition of the baptism of Kirsty and Kev’s children, Alfie and Lily, we made our way over to a lake nearby for some photos, and then over to Trearddur Bay Hotel for the reception. As soon as the Bride and Groom sat down to their Wedding Breakfast, the heavens opened and it rained for the rest of the day, but it didn’t deter anyone from having a fantastic day. We had such a lovely time photographing with this couple, the whole day felt so happy and relaxed, its clear that they are meant to be together. Kirsty and Kev we wish you all the love and luck in the world. Looking forward to showing you the rest of the photos soon.
It would hardly be an understatement to say what a tough year this has been, this couple know this all too well. Leilla & Nathan were meant to get married in 2020, but after having to change their date more than once, they finally made it down the aisle yesterday, and we could not have wished for a more perfect day.
This couple are completely in tune with one another, it’s easy to see the strong connection they have, and this was also evident in their moving wedding vows and speeches which meant hardly anyone had a dry eye afterwards.
Although circumstances meant that this amazing couple could not have the wedding they had planned, and could not have all the guests that they wanted to be present, we know they made the best of their day anyway and it felt incredibly special.
Leilla and Nathan, thank you for choosing us to photograph your day, and to you and your families and guests for making us feel so welcome. We loved being a part of it and we know you are going to have an amazing life together. We are looking forward to sharing your bigger celebration when circumstances allow.
Telor and Lowri were married yesterday at St Eleth’s church in Amlwch in a ceremony that was beautiful and unique with lots of laughing, a few tears and a glass of wine too!
After a horrendous day of rain on Friday, this couple were blessed with blue skies and sunshine all day for their wedding, and we made the most of it. After the ceremony, a quick stop at Amlwch Harbour and the shoreline near Beaumaris for some photos, everyone made their way to Tros Yr Afon near Penmon. This beautiful venue was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful bride and her handsome groom.
Telor and Lowri had thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and happy whilst sharing their special day, with ice cream and drinks on arrival, and rugby on big screens for the die-hard supporters. They even included a box full of flip flops so ladies wearing high-heels could dance all night in comfort! Everything came together perfectly to make this an unforgettable day. We were made to feel so welcome by family and guests alike, and everyone was so helpful.
This couple have an amazing bond, their speeches really made everyone laugh but highlighted what an amazing couple they are, talented, intelligent and made for each other.
Telor and Lowri, thank you for a brilliant day, we don’t have any doubt that your journey together will be filled with love and laughter…and happy ever after ♥
Special thanks to the following amazing people for helping to make the day perfect:
Anglesey has many beautiful venues for a wedding, so it was no surprise that Jenny and Jo chose picturesque Trearddur Bay for their wedding.
It wasn’t the sunniest of days, but it stayed dry and the beaming brides and their guests more than made up for the lack of sunshine.
After an emotional ceremony, the brides and their guests made their way to the edge of the beach for some photos and then we escaped with just the brides over to Porth Dafarch for some quieter photos on the headland.
This wonderful couple never stopped smiling at each other and it was so touching to see what an amazing bond they have with each other and their families, and so much love all around!
This couple went the extra mile to surprise each other throughout their day with thoughtful touches here and there, and an amazing choreographed dance with their children to kick start the evening!
We really enjoyed photographing this fantastic couple, Jenny and Jo we wish you nothing but love and happiness for your lives together. Thank you for a wonderful day!
Jenny and Dave were married at the Management Centre in Bangor this weekend, a beautiful location with stunning views across the Menai Straits. We knew as soon as we met Jenny and Dave that we were going to enjoy being a part of their Wedding day. Their easy banter and relaxed happiness was infectious and we couldn’t wait for their day to arrive. On the morning of their wedding both Bride and Groom were totally calm with barely any nerves showing at all, we could see that this was going to be a fun and relaxed day, a joining of two people so clearly meant to be together.
After the ceremony we took advantage of the venue’s amazing courtyard, the gorgeous views, and the stunning looking Bride, Groom and guests to get some group photos before the happy couple sat down for their Wedding Breakfast. A quick visit afterwards back to Amlwch, to include family members that couldn’t be at the wedding, just reinforced what a caring and thoughtful couple these two are, with family being the most important thing in their lives.
Jenny and Dave, thank you so much for letting us photograph your day. We think you are a beautiful couple both inside and out and we wish you nothing but love and laughter for your future.
Special thanks to the following talented people that made this amazing day complete:
Aled & Vanessa were married at The Victoria Hotel in Menai Bridge last Saturday. Though the day was wet and cold, inside the atmosphere was definitely warm, vibrant and full of love. This couple are clearly besotted with one another and their love is a joy to see. Vanessa was every inch the gorgeous Bride, beautiful both inside and out. Aled, clearly nervous waiting for his Bride, made a very handsome Groom, and was full of smiles and excitement whilst waiting for Vanessa to arrive.
We worried that the weather was going to spoil any chances for some photos outside, but luck (or Brazilian magic?) was with us and and it was dry from the moment Vanessa arrived until we finished taking photos. Perfect!
We were so happy to be a part of this lovely couple’s Wedding Day. Aled and Vanessa, thank you for choosing us to photograph your day, we wish you both a lifetime of joy and happiness xx
Our blog always goes a little quiet at this time of year as we like to keep everyone’s photos a secret until Santa has delivered all his presents!
We do still have a few slots available in November and December, although they are filling up fast, and we guarantee to have your prints ready in time for Christmas for all sessions booked before 18th December.
We can do indoor or outdoor shoots, if you’re feeling brave in the cold! Autumn/winter can be a lovely time for photos outdoors with the leaves on the trees changing colour, and your session can include your whole family, babies, couples, individuals or even pets!
A photograph is a great gift for that anyone at Christmas, but especially for the hard to buy for. What could be better than a photograph of a loved one to keep and display.
Give the gift of a lasting memory this Christmas 🙂
Ffion and Kyle’s big day started with rain and wind, but by the time everyone was ready to go to the chapel, the sun was shining and it was a perfect, warm summer’s day.
Ffion and her bridal party all looked stunning with hair and make-up by Hayley Carter and Pure Beauty, whilst the beautiful flowers by Florabundance complimented the bridesmaids’ dresses wonderfully.
Kyle, his best men and ushers were waiting patiently at the chapel and as Ffion walked down the aisle, harpist Dafydd Huw filled the chapel with beautiful music.
Once at the University Management Centre in Bangor, the staff worked tirelessly to make sure the reception went without a hitch and the whole venue looked fantastic. Band #6 sounded amazing and kept the place rocking all evening.
It was a privilege to be a part of this day and we really enjoyed photographing Ffion, Kyle and all the guests. A lot of work had gone into making the day such a success and we wish Ffion and Kyle a long and happy marriage 🙂 x
What an fantastic way to celebrate the first year of life. Freddie turned one this week and to mark the occasion he had a joint Christening and Birthday party on Sunday. Friends and family joined him for food, music and entertainment, and with an extremely talented face painter on hand, and some interesting animals to hold it was a fabulous afternoon. There were some extremely brave children (and adults!) holding snakes, lizards and spiders, which made us glad we could step back and make use of the zoom lens!
Happy Birthday Freddie, thank you for letting us be part of your amazing day!
Two couples, one wedding! A double wedding these days isn’t all that common so we were delighted when Bethan, Andy, Cathryn and Paul asked us to be their photographers for the day.
With rain forecast all day we prepared for the worst, but got really lucky when the sun popped out just in time for the two sisters’ arrival at the church in Llanddona. It even stayed dry long enough for us to have a few minutes on beautiful Llanddona beach with the two happy couples. After that the rain set back in for the evening but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and the rest of the evening was a huge success with a barbeque at the Meifod Country House in Caernarfon and bouncy castles for the children and the adults!
It’s fair to say that we expected this day to be harder work than a normal wedding, but we enjoyed it so much, everyone was so fantastic, easy going and looked amazing that the day flew past easily. Bethan, Andy, CAthryn, Paul, it was a real pleasure to photograph you and all your guests. Thank you so much for making us so welcome in your homes and in your wedding. Hope the photos show what a wonderful day it was xx
